A self confessed foodie, I bought my first recipe book at age 9. However, it was a Rotary exchange student program to Belgium at age 18 that ignited my passion for exploring the culture of food, its rich meaning and the role it plays promoting healthy living. I also believe that food is beyond merely nourishing the body – what we eat and with whom we eat can inspire and strengthen the bonds between individuals and communities.

 

You have to admit, one of the joys of visiting any new village or country is the food! At the same time for some it can be a little daunting – in France, for example there are so many villages with many restaurants and markets, it is hard to know which one to pick.
